In Nepal, the Corona virus lock-down has put the elephant owners in a difficult position with no income from the elephant rides.
Many elephants have already been sold to India. For the elephants who remain here in Nepal, Association Moey offers support when necessary. We treat feet, provide nutritious food supplements and deliver fresh bamboo and branches. We are working on the ground in Sauraha to help the elephants since the first wave of covid in March 2020 and over one year later the work still continues today.
